“Freezing World” is out on the 16th of February, and we will be at Smith’s Olde Bar the following Friday with guests Dillon, J-Live and DJ Synthesis on the tables.

The plan is to blow your minds with dope new music from the crew, incredible features and guests, and a CE show like you’ve never seen before, complete with the new CE Live line-up, which consists of:

Richard Jones on drums and percussion, Matthew Weiss on guitar, Alfredo Lapuz, Jr. on keys, and the newest addition to the crew, Jim Coley on bass guitar. As usual, the super-talented Claire Kaye will be there to back us up on the vocals and the homie Synt will help out with some cuts where needed. We are excited about the show, and the new record, and we hope to see you all out to support your fam. Oh, and we will have hoodies and shirts with the new album theme! We are proud to announce that “Freezing World” featuring Dillon is now available for purchase. Produced by yours truly, this track was selected as the title for the new album, and gives a good sense of the theme that is present throughout. Don’t forget, the full length is out in two weeks! Got up earlier than I ever imagined I would have to for a show this morning. Woke up at 1:45, snoozed for 15 then rode out with the crew. We loaded in, grabbed some coffee, and sound checked, EARLY!

Senor Kaos came through with ChicaGorilla and represented on “The Dream”…the lil homie Dilly Mau came through for “Freezing World” (unfortunately we didn’t time that one right and you didn’t get to see him rapping. We even did “All The Time” at the end, but he had already left…damn.)…and the always hilarious DJ Synthesis of Psyche O rolled through and blessed on the 1’s and 2’s.

The staff and on-air personalities there were really laid back, and made us feel right at home. You can’t tell from watching below, but we played in and out of commercial breaks for the full hour (6-7), and then played two full songs (actually three, but the last one, “All The Time”, was a web-only). Aside from some questionable singing by yours truly (I give myself a pass, given that my vocal chords were still not fully awake), I thought it went really well. Thank you 11-Alive and whoever hooked that opportunity for us. Excellent exposure for the crew, and great promo for Freezing World, being that most of our “bump breaks” were offset with visions of freezing rain, sleet, ice and basically bad weather all around…anyway, enjoy. Thanks to everyone who set their DVRs or actually got up that early to tune in!

Here it is y’all, “I Get Down”. This a glimpse into the work that we’ve been putting in with legendary producer, Diamond D. We’ve been fortunate to have the contribution of one of hip hop’s most sought after producers on our current release, Freezing World. With DJ Mafioso on the cuts, this track is sure to become another classic for sure.

As the founder of DITC, Diamond D has been leaving his stamp on the hip hop scene with classics like “Sallie got a one track mind”, “The Light” (Pharoah Monche), “The Business” (A Tribe Called Quest), “The Score” (Fugees) and countless others. His discography touches the likes of Fat Joe, The Pharcyde, KRS-One, Tha Alkaholiks, Xzibit, Big L, Raekwon, Busta Rhymes and more.
